(Like a 4k 165hz "monitor" with 2 remotes that doesn't include display port of crazy)Īs someone who really wanted to buy this monitor, I could almost guarantee there's going to be another iteration of this next year with like a 8K sister alongside it or a 240 Hz version it is really sucks that they basically tease us with this because I really doubt they're going to do a firmware update as a historic Samsung user. Like maybe these were just old shells of curved TVs. Genuinely feels like this was done on purpose so that they can introduce a later iteration of this monitor and these curve screens may just be recycled products that didn't get sold seems very true considering the lack of display port. Not only that they include such a cool feature to resize your screen to the desired size, but not include multiple support to combo with that feature. I feel like this was done on purpose because they were smart enough to advertise this towards gamers yet they pretend not to know that the vast majority if not all People who want this monitor need picture by picture or just multiple input support. Maybe they can put out another firmware or nVidia releases new drivers and it just magically starts working for others. I thought maybe driver issue at first? But I rolled the dice and upgraded both the monitor firmware from 1005 to 1006 and my nVidia drivers. I have a feeling it's an interaction between GPU and monitor though given how people are using the same monitor with a different GPU and getting different results. I can't know if there's some panel lottery here though. I've tested to a fairly exhaustive degree with videos, games, test videos, and official test apps. I have an nVidia RTX 2070 (first gen, not the super version) and it's also fine for me. I've heard this from review sites/videos and also here in this subreddit from some who had both Nvidia and AMD on hand and switched to AMD and saw a dramatic difference.
